In addition to consultation and care, we are able to perform certain non-surgical PROCEDURES in the comfort of our office, Including:
Botox, Myobloc, Xeomin – For treatment of chronic migraine, spasticity, dystonia, and other indications. During this procedure your doctor will inject the medication into the appropriate muscles of the body for the discussed indication and may use EMG for guidance when treating spasticity or dystonia.
Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies – This test is two parts. Please allow an hour. Please do not wear any lotion, oils, or creams on the extremities to be tested. The first part involves small shocks to the nerves in the arms or legs to record how your nerves conduct electricity. The second part, the EMG, entails using a small needle to listen to your muscles. It does not give any shocks. This test is used to diagnose common neuropathies, such as polyneuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, and ulnar neuropathy. It can also diagnose radiculopathy, myopathy, and neuromuscular junction disorders.
EEG (Electroencephalogram) – This is a test that involves placement of electrodes on your scalp to record brain waves for evaluation of possible seizures or epilepsy as well as certain types of memory loss and confusion. Please allow up to an hour for this test. Hair should be clean and dry.
Carotid doppler and Transcranial doppler – This test uses ultrasound to look at the blood vessels in the neck and head as part of an evaluation of cerebrovascular disease.
Occipital Nerve Blocks – This procedure uses a combination between a long acting anesthetic and steroid to treat certain types of headaches. The medicine is injected over the occipital nerves at the back of the head.
Skin punch biopsy - to evaluate for small fiber neuropathy. This is performed with a local anesthetic.
All visits are by appointment only. If you are not already a patient of NAA, your initial visit will require a referral. Existing patients may contact our scheduler to make an appointment. If you wish to become a patient of NAA, talk to your healthcare provider to obtain a referral.

Method of payment for deductible, copays, etc. We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. (Please note that payment is expected at the time of service.)
If possible, copies on a disc of pertinent imaging studies (CT, MRI) as well as reports.
Any pertinent previous records or lab work
Please arrive 30-45 minutes before your appointment time if you do not fill out your forms online. If filled outline you may arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time. If you arrive at your appointment time without completion of new patient paperwork you may be asked to reschedule.
